Today is National Cappucino Day, and whilst taking a sip of my coffee, it got me thinking about how many times I have told my clients, that their very next coffee break could be the moment to change their life forever.

What exactly do I mean by ‘change your life forever?’…

Well, what I mean, is that it takes a certain headspace, or mindset, in order to be positive and create the positive changes that you really desire in life. And whilst a lot of us work hard on actually creating that headspace, we find it hard to stick at. 

Life, love, worry, stress, dropping your eggs in Tesco…. there’s always something that sort of happens, isn’t there, that smashes up that positive headspace. My advice to my clients, is that life happens – you are ALWAYS going to have the bad stuff happen, but it’s how you react to it that’s the problem.

Let me ask you something… are YOU guilty of allowing something going wrong, to take over your entire headspace? Do YOU find that the smallest of things can knock you off your positivity perch again and leave you flapping around on the floor wondering ‘why do these things keep on happening to me???’.

The coffee break coaching tip – change your life in the time it takes to drink your coffee.

Next time that you sit down to drink that coffee, or of course, cappucino, plant your feet firmly on the floor, grip your hands firmly around your coffee, close your eyes for a moment (you can do this with your eyes open if that makes you feel uncomfortable), and just take a deep breath in. Hold it for the count of 7, and then let it all out for the count of 7. And I want you to keep repeating this, and every time that you breathe in, imagine that you are breathing in Universal power that will recharge your positivity levels. As you breathe out, picture the negativity leaving your body – you may want to see that as puffs of toxic black smoke.

Next, visualise a positive, golden energy field, forming a shield around you – feel its warmth, this always makes me think back to the Ready Brek man… do you remember him? 🙂

Okay, so know, that this shield is around you, and will keep any negativity away from you, if some does arrive at your door, you don’t have to let it affect you as deeply you can choose how and when to process it, by making an active choice to turn the volume down on this golden energy field.

By carrying out this exercise many times throughout your day (because we all have some sort of drinks break, don’t we), you will form a habit of choosing to step into your positive place, and get your energy levels up. This will mean that within around a week, you will notice how differently you are handling life, and how calmer you seem.

OVER THE COURSE OF A 28 DAY PERIOD, THIS PRACTISE WILL FAST BECOME A HABIT, AND YOU WILL CARRY IT FORTH INTO THE REST OF YOUR LIFE.

You may well be thinking ‘well this all seems too…… easy’. But it’s the small and consistent steps that create the biggest change waves. SO – give it a go, and transform the way that you handle life daily.
