it’s Friday and the weekend is again upon us. This weekend, rather than do the usual, why not make it your priority to go out and find your happiness? Change your life this weekend in 2 easy steps.
Let me ask you – what do you usually have planned for the weekend? A shopping trip round Tesco … chilling out on the sofa.. perhaps a couple of drinks at the local with your friends on a Saturday evening. A roast dinner on Sunday…. whatever it is that you usually get up to on the weekend, it’s time to try something different. Why? Because Christopher Paul Jones says so 🙂
Ask yourself what BIG goals you have in life and then use your weekend to meet them.
How many times have you sat in the pub at the weekend, sipping that glass of vino, talking about the book you’d like to write some day.. or the business you wish you were running. Maybe you prefer to moan about your 9-5 day job and wish that you could be a millionaire. The weekend is the ideal time to start putting those plans into action and working your way towards meeting your big life goals.
Set aside a couple of hours to write that first chapter… create that website… or, if your goals are not success orientated, and are based around doing less, check in for that yoga class.. schedule a morning meditation. Use the time wisely and know, that by making ONE step, and repeating it weekly, you will form a new habit and amazing results will follow.
Change your morning routine, do something different.
Changes don’t have to be big, the small ones can have a huge impact also. So, change your morning routine this weekend. If your usual routine is to get up, switch the tv on, and then go drink coffee, why not take yourself out for breakfast this Saturday? Make a shift get out of your comfort zone and see how this sets you up for a different kind of feeling for the weekend.
We often get so used to sticking to our habits, and routines, doing things the same old way, that we forget the beauty of changing things, We fear change because we believe that it has to be massive. But something as small as where you enjoy breakfast can really lift the veil off things and make you view your day differently.
TRY THESE TWO SUGGESTIONS THIS WEEKEND AND THEN SEE IF YOU FEEL MOTIVATED. LIFE IS SO SHORT AND IF WE KEEP WAITING FOR ‘TIME’ – TIME TO ACTUALLY DO THINGS, CHANGE THINGS, WELL WE COULD BE WAITING FOREVER. MAKE YOUR WEEKENDS A TIME FOR MAKING MIRACLES HAPPEN AND CHECK IN WITH ME AND LET ME KNOW THE DIFFERENCE.
YOU are responsible for your happiness, and YOU really can simply CHOOSE to change things, so have some fun with this and let me know what you got up to this weekend on Monday!
Until the next time, take care and speak soon,
Chris.
