The Integrated Change System (ICS)

The power of hypnotherapy with the depth of psychotherapy.

Over the years, I saw many people trying to overcome fear by analysing it endlessly, avoiding situations, or forcing themselves through experiences that still felt overwhelming underneath. In many cases, the deeper emotional patterns driving the fear had never fully changed.

The Integrated Change System (ICS) was developed to work directly with those underlying patterns.

Drawing on principles from applied psychology, emotional processing, behavioural change, coaching, and therapeutic approaches, ICS was designed to help change the emotional patterns that maintain fear and anxiety.

Blending the power of hypnotherapy with the depth of psychotherapy, the system has evolved through years of training, study, and practical experience working specifically with fears, phobias, anxiety, and emotional conditioning.

The system is built around seven key stages:

1. Recognise

Understanding what is really driving the fear, rather than only focusing on the surface reaction.

2. Relax

Quietening the analytical mind and reducing emotional overwhelm so deeper patterns can be accessed more safely and effectively.

3. Reward

Identifying the protective role the fear has been trying to serve and finding healthier ways to meet that need.

4. Recipe

Breaking down the internal patterns, thoughts, emotional responses, focus, and
associations that create and maintain the fear.

5. Release

Changing the emotional connection to past experiences and triggers that continue to
fuel the response.

6. Recondition

Helping the mind and body begin forming new emotional responses and associations.

7. Realise

Reinforcing those new patterns so future situations no longer trigger the same
automatic fear response.

When fear and anxiety are repeatedly triggered, the mind and body can begin reacting automatically, even when the situation itself is no longer dangerous. ICS is designed to help interrupt and change those conditioned emotional patterns, allowing new responses to gradually replace the old fear response.

Many people begin noticing shifts surprisingly quickly because the underlying emotional patterns driving the fear have started to change.

The Foundations of ICS

My background includes training across applied psychology and a range of therapeutic, behavioural, and coaching approaches, including:

  • Contemporary Psychotherapy

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Clinical Hypnotherapy

  • NLP (Trainer and Master Practitioner)

  • Emotional and somatic approaches (EFT, TFT, Havening)

  • Mindfulness-based approaches

  • Bilateral stimulation processes (EMDR, Brain-spotting)

These approaches have been integrated and adapted over many years of working
specifically with fears, phobias, anxiety, emotional conditioning, and behavioural
change.
